Both young participants stayed in Portsmouth from the end of August until end of September: they had internship in IT sector.
One participant wrote about his experience:
“I can simply start by telling you that I have had a lot of fun here in Portsmouth, at my work and the place that i stay!
So I can tell you that I have learned very much about how to repair computers, that is a really good experience for me later on because I have thoughts about working with something just like the work I do here, repair computers and so. But I have also been told that my English is very good and I feel for myself that I have improved my speaking, grammar and even writing. I’ve been told how to refill ink cartridges as well, that’s also a fun thing, at Southsea Inks they do repair, buy and sell printers so that is also a skill that I will bring with me for a long time of my life, I’m not the best guy on repairing printers yet but I have been taught pretty much on the time that I have been here.
So a short summary of my trip is that it have been very fun, a lot of laughs, a lot of learning and very much repairing! I still have a week left and I’m 100% sure that I will learn something more on this time and have a good time with my colleagues!“
